Welcome to edQuest, a gamified e-learning platform offering skill-based courses, interactive roadmaps, hackathons, assessments, and digital credentials. edQuest is a product of Surfboard India Pvt Ltd, a registered company in India.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the edQuest platform, website, and services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using edQuest, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of Platform

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use edQuest. If under 13, parental or guardian consent is required.

1.2 Account Registration

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and updated information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.

1.3 Permitted Use

edQuest is intended solely for personal learning and skill development. Commercial use is prohibited unless explicitly authorized in writing.

2. Learning Content & Roadmaps

2.1 Ownership

All content—including gamified roadmaps, videos, assessments, quizzes, certificates, branding, and user interface—is the intellectual property of edQuest or its licensors. Copying, redistributing, or modifying any content without permission is prohibited.

2.2 Content Updates

We may update or remove content to improve learning experiences. edQuest does not guarantee the continued availability of any specific roadmap or course.

3. Payments, Fees & Refunds

3.1 Payment Gateway

All payments are securely processed through PhonePe, a third-party payment provider. edQuest does not store any card or bank information.

3.2 Pricing

Some services—including premium roadmaps, certifications, and event participation (e.g., hackathons)—may require payment. Prices are displayed on the platform and are subject to change with prior notice.

3.3 Refund Policy

Payments made on edQuest are non-refundable, except in the following cases:

Duplicate transactions
Technical errors resulting in failed access

Users must contact support@edquest.pro within 48 hours of the transaction with valid payment proof.

3.4 Failed Payments

If your payment fails or you are charged but do not receive access:

Wait up to 24 hours for automated resolution
Contact our support team with your Transaction ID, payment amount, and registered email

4. Privacy & Data Usage

4.1 User Data

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This includes learning progress, usage analytics, and engagement metrics to personalize your experience.

4.2 Third-Party Services

edQuest may integrate with external tools and providers (e.g., PhonePe for payments, analytics platforms). We are not responsible for their independent data practices.

5. Conduct and Community Guidelines

You agree not to:

Use bots, scripts, or automation to gain unfair advantage
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
Upload harmful, offensive, or unauthorized content

Violation of these rules may lead to immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.

6. Certificates and Achievements

edQuest may issue digital certificates and badges for completing specific learning paths or participating in events. These are intended for personal recognition and portfolio use. Unless explicitly stated, edQuest certifications are not equivalent to formal degrees or government-accredited qualifications.

7. Limitation of Liability

edQuest is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties.

We are not liable for:

Temporary interruptions or access issues
Loss of user data or progress
Payment gateway errors beyond our control (e.g., PhonePe downtime or bank failures)

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via platform announcements or email. Continued use after such changes implies acceptance.

9. Prizes and Rewards

edQuest reserves the right to offer prizes at its sole discretion. The term “prizes” may include a combination of rewards (such as merchandise, vouchers, etc.) and/or cash prizes. The actual composition of the prize may vary—some events may offer only rewards, others only cash, and some a mix of both.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
